My skin is feeling dry and looking red today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

The cellulose material was so super thin and soft, it’s the closest to silk I’ve ever felt. It came with a perforated plastic backing, which was necessary for ease of application. The material was so thin and soft that if not handled with care, it might stick on itself and become a pain to unravel.

The clear watery-gel essence hardly gave off any scent. There was no essence left in the packaging once I fished the sheet mask out. This was not surprising since the packet only contained 20 ml of essence.

Fit and adherence were great thanks to how soft and thin the material was. The sheet mas piece was large enough to cover my entire face with some excess on the sides. It was super easy to push in the excess material. Holes were perfectly lined up with my features. Adherence was so amazing that I hardly noticed I had a mask on. I was writing in my notebook with my head down and the sheet mask did not budge one bit.

I took the mask off after 10 mins, it was starting to turn white at the edges.

The remaining essence absorbed easily into my skin with a few quick pats. Like most Taiwanese sheet masks, finish was matte and non-tacky. This is perfect for hot days or oily skin types.

The most noticeable thing was my skin tone. It was a shade lighter and made my dark circles looked more obvious. There was still some redness but eventually subsided throughout the day. My skin felt deeply hydrated but there wasn’t a protective barrier to prevent all that moisture from evaporating. So I followed with a hydrating serum and moisturizer to seal in all that goodness.

This is one heck of a convenient mask. Perfect for people with busy schedules. If absolutely in a hurry, I’d even use this during my commute to my destination because of how invisible it is. However, if given a choice, I’d still prefer a long masking session because of how enjoyable the experience is.
